Remember a while back some dumb woman dumped hot McDonalds coffee on her lap and then sued the company for a couple million dollars because, to her surprise, something hot burned her? You know how on microwave packages there's a warning that says "Caution: Contents will be very hot when heated"? Well it's kinda like that, because lawyers work for stupid people too.
That message is here to stay. Kudos to A-net for looking out for their own interests, because I bet the gamers wont be looking out for them

It's ignorable, and shouldn't necessarily be removed. The only thing I have a problem with is feeling mocked or insulted at some of the second parts of these messages. "Please take a break." is not one of them, that is a suggestion, reminder, whatever you want to call it. But when it says things like "Get a life," I begin to have a problem with that (I have not seen that personally, I rarely play more than 3-4 hours at a time). So...

/not signed, but if there's a petition to remove any insulting/mocking remarks, /signed.

Take the msg as a chance to get out of your chair and strech.

Sitting in your chair for long periods of time can dmg your legs. Can cause blood clots after many years of repeated actions.

Also every 20 minutes you should focus on something 10 ft away to prevent eye strain. Otherwise you will become short sighted.

Last but not least there is carpule tunnel (don't know if I spelled that right though its on the bottom of my keyboard) which is non repairable and no cure.

The warning msg is great as a reminder to do these. At least for myself these are a neccessity because I'm on a computer for at least 12 hours of my day.

There are more important things to complain about than just over one line of text in game. Triple A recommends drivers to stop and take a break every 2 hrs and I don’t hear motorist complain about that.

It’s just a friendly reminder that’s all no harm done to anyone so I don’t see what the problem is.

OH SO WRONG

if you suffer from any of the symptoms of carpel tunnel syndrome see a neurologist for confirmation.

out patient surgery to eclarge the *tunnel* the nerve goes through will restore/prevent any further damage.

in early diagnosed cases full function is restored in many cases

lol...someone that aggrees with that moronic lady...

If it would have been ice water that she spilled and gotten frostbite, she would have sued. She was just trying to make a quick buck (or a million quick bucks).

I think the fact that it is annoying/frustrating you kind of proves the point why it's in there to begin with. You're getting frustrated by (an extremely tiny) part of a computer game......

Also it's not like it's a message which says "don't play again" it's saying take a break (then continue after that if you like) which can never hurt.

if it had been regular temperature something, but it left a stain, she would have sued. People who sue others for something stupid are stupid themselves. They thought they'd put flamethrower under cars so you easily could deal with hijackers and other criminals. Press a button and the flames spew out burnig the criminal down. Think they realised that the criminal would sue the person inside the car cause the criminal was "just standing next to the car".

naw, they would have added a voice warning that said loudly..
'step away from the vehicle, or you will be burned..you have been warned!'

then they can say, oh but they were warned, they just didnt do what it said

yeah, some people sue because they can....thats why a lot of companies put warnings on stuff....

like the costume/pajama makers that have to put this on superman outfits/kiddies pajamas.

'puting on this outfit will not enable the user to fly'

well DUH >.<

"You have played for 25 hours, last warning!"

You have played for 26 hours, say goodbye to your wammo"

or sumthing like that x.x

Well, she was stupid to spill hot coffee on herself, but the 3rd degree burns were severe enough to require skin grafts and 8 days in the hospital. She sued after McDonald's refused to pay her $20,000 medical bills (stupid of them, they would have saved some dough!)

This is the dumbest thing to complain about. I mean, how can you be offended by an automated message when REAL LIFE players use racial slurs and profanity at the drop of a dime for no real reason every day in game...

IF anything I'm more offended by "WTS","WTB" messages. Now THAT is annoying.

You're 100% absolutely right about that. Oh yes, absolutely. Fortunately for us, we can turn those channels off! Yay! Now wouldn't you be pissed off if you had no option to turn off the Local and Trade channels?

Take a break, lol. Don't we play this game to take a break? It should be more like: "You have been playing for 6 hours, go to work" or "You have been playing for 6 hours, move before your muscles turn into a liquidy mush."

Player: "SHUT UP YOU BABYSITTER MESSAGE YOUR ANNOYING ME GO AWAY. DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO"

Geez people come on its a little message that asks you politely to take a break after 3 hours. This might save someone's life ya know.

GW player: MUST HOLD HALLS
Message: "You have been playing for 2 hours"
GW player: Wait a sec. O crap I got to get medicine in 30 minuites or I go unconscience and I die
*takes medicine*
GW player: Yeaaa the little message saved me.
